What purpose does the World Clock serve?
With such an overwhelming abundance of information available, constructing a reasonably accurate model of reality has become nearly an overwhelming task. Keys to personal understanding lie scattered throughout countless seeming unrelated subjects. Through the use of a simple matrix of color and geometry, the World Clock combines several systems together meaningfully for the first time. Significant metaphysical tools are distributed along with various other natural phenomena, integrated within a dynamic model of human potential. Uniting various fields of knowledge in this way reintegrates the universe conceptually, allowing a expanded perspective some believe to be incomprehensible.
What can the World Clock be used for?
The World Clock Synthesis has the primary function of appealing to the aesthetic, authentic self. Examine the details, then just take a few steps back, until the lettering and symbols become a vague blur. The emphasis then shifts from individual elements, toward a comprehensive perspective widely focused upon that "Big Picture". Continue gazing at the charts center and the colors begin to swirl, possibly invoking a mild trance state, perhaps making you slightly dizzy, or maybe a little of both. Traditionally, intentionally focusing individual consciousness has long been an important design consideration when creating Mandalas and other such sacred circles.
The World Clock can be applied as a universal key or master index, allowing detailed examination of thoroughly integrated systems. For example, easy comparisons are made between classically related subjects, such as Tarot and Astrology, while simultaneously revealing clear correspondences shared by modern DNA codes and the I Ching of ancient China. Essentially the World Clock provides a tool for juxtaposing numerous intellectual pursuits, allowing meaningful arrangements to be made from various concepts and symbols. This approach alters the paradigm of knowledge away from fragmentation and specialization, towards a more inclusive and unified style of understanding.
Another clear benefit would be in the contemplative arts of divination and self analysis. When any World Clock systems is consulted as an oracle, the matrix quickly provides access to interpretations from other systems, which can be applied back to the original question. As astrological charts might reveal particular aspects of an individuals predisposition, so too can Tarot and Numerology reveal other personality traits. All potential experiences are woven into every individual within the great fabric of society, thus dabbling in divination can offer direct insight into the collective reality which makes us human. Keep in mind as you consult any oracle, each situation has several possible outcomes, with consequences ultimately determined by the use of your own freewill in the present moment.
How is the World Clock assembled?
Color and Music By joining these complementary phenomenon together, a foundation for combining other systems upon the World Clock is also established. Within this first sequence of correspondences, the harmonic resonance shared by music and the visible spectrum are discovered. While we always knew intuitively of these affinities, the exact numerical parallels only become evident after converting color wavelengths into frequencies. The layout of World Clock structure facilitates this kind of fundamental comparison between systems. Disclosing these parallels integrates previously unrelated information in a new way, forming remarkably coherent patterns of relationships.
Numerology and Geometry The distribution of numbers around the World Clock framework is based entirely upon a classic form of basic construction. Comparisons would include the established design of the twelve hour clock face, and twelve month calendar year. Zero was placed first by choosing Infra-Red and the note G for the starting point, with each subsequent number assigned to the remaining color spectrum. The circumference of the World Clock is cleaved into four equal sections by intersecting Heavenly (vertical gold) and Earthly (horizontal silver) lines. These quadrants represent aspects of elemental essence, provide qualities which are spread evenly throughout the entire system by way of the triplicities.
Astrology There is ample information regarding associations between Color and Astrology. Most would agree that the Sun and Leo would be yellow, while Mars and Aries correspond with the color red. By accepting just these two known coordinates as fixed points, the placement of Astrology upon the World Clock is immediately established. The arrangement of planets include typically the Sun and Moon (not really planets), also nontypically the Earth (geocentric prejudice), and the distant Ort Cloud (source of many nasty comets). The elemental triplicities of Air, Fire, Earth and Water are used repeatedly to correlate various other systems, further substantiating Astrology as a truly fundamental system.
Tarot Many Tarot major arcana cards have well documented associations with particular Astrology signs. Two examples would be "The Sun" with Leo, or "The Moon" equated with Cancer. However, since several Tarot major arcana are without any clear astrological correspondences, occasionally psychological parameters are used when locating of some cards upon the World Clock. Examples of these analogies are "Justice" correlated to Order and Resolution, or "Death" aligned with Ego-Security. However, standard correspondences between Astrology and the Tarot minor arcana of Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles have been maintained, with triplicities being comprised of these four elemental essences.
I Ching Only a quick comparison of Asian and Western Astrology is needed to identify the prominent similarities in both their monthly calendars and seasonal changes. This correlation allows a precise placement of the twelve central I Ching hexagrams which have specific astrological associations. From there, a regular series of trigram bases expand outward from the center, continuing along through each color on all four levels. The arrangement of the changing lines proceeds with the standard ascending sequence, following around each level from one hexagram to the next. While it may seem a remarkable coincidence, conceived some 8000 years ago in ancient China, this philosophy shares many remarkable parallels with the intricate structure only recently detected in our own DNA, the code of all life.
Alchemical Processes and Noble Metals Listing the twelve Alchemical processes is once again done according to their commonly held correspondences with specific Astrological signs. The arrangement of Noble Metals with certain planets also follows their historically associated qualities. After gaining a sound understanding of how these natural processes work in the external world of matter, the alchemist was better prepared for the true inner transmutation of body, soul, mind and spirit. While many interesting insights are gained from Psychological Alchemy, this grand oversimplification on the World Clock should not be confused with the genuine work of Laboratory Alchemy.
Bio-Resonance Fields Originally these centers were called "Chakras" in Sanskrit, which meant circle or wheel. Called "Bio-Resonance Fields" on the World Clock, these centers of localized consciousness are the expression of fundamental human needs and drives. The sequence begins with red security and sensation centers, and progresses through the yellow heart center of creativity and love. Ultimately, this focused consciousness reaches the crowning blue center of achievement, and beyond that, to the surrounding fields of the life force. In the past, our understanding of these centers has been dictated by the seven classic planets and metals of antiquity. Yet recent discoveries by science have included the addition of new planets and metals, forcing human knowledge to evolve. Possibly these new centers were merely suppressed, or are perhaps newly emerging aspects of a maturing species. This change might then reflect a transition from simply passively receiving spiritual guidance, to exercising the expression of our authentic personal spirituality.
DNA and Chromosomes The connection between the DNA and I Ching can be established by the symbolic reduction of both systems into their most elementary components. Once equivalencies are designated, the placement of symbols representing DNA triplet codons alongside corresponding I Ching hexagrams is relatively simple. The distribution of chromosomes around the World Clock is done by measuring their approximate sizes, which is associated to a particular color according to its specified wavelength. It is an interesting coincidence is that two such unrelated systems would both make use of 22. There are 22 Tarot Major Arcana, and 22 Human Chromosomes (plus the X and Y sex chromosomes).
Subatomic Particles When combined into families of particles, the quarks and leptons become almost reminiscent of the ancients view, that matter is an amalgamation of the four basic elements. Each family of subatomic particles is grouped according to their energy level, a measurement of electron volt charge, corresponding in turn to the particle mass. Representing the lowest, and therefore most stable energy level, the family of Up-Down-Electron particles comprises 99.999% of matter in the observable universe.
Electromagnetic Spectrum Built up from the four distinct levels of physical manifestation, Atomic, Biological, Transitional, and Cosmic. This chart is organized around the metric scale, providing a consistent means of accurately measuring specific phenomena. Emerging from out of the Void, and expanding toward Infinity, all forms of electromagnetic phenomena propagate through the space/time continuum at the speed of light. Thus Frequency and Wavelength are really just two sides of the same Electromagnetic coin. Wavelength (measured in meters) X Frequency (cycles per second, or hertz) = Speed of Light (300,000,000 meters per second)
Excerpts from books by C.G. Jung regarding Mandalas
Mandala means circle, more especially a magic circle. The Mandala is an archetypal image whose occurrence is attested throughout the ages. It signifies the wholeness of the self. This circular image represents the wholeness of the psychic ground, the divinity incarnate in man. The goal of psychic development is the self. There is no linear evolution; there is only a circumambulation of the self. It is the exponent of all paths. It is the path to the center, to individuation.
Out of the fullness of life shall you bring forth your religion, only then shall you be blessed! ...But, like woman herself, the anima means the height and depth of a man. Without the blue vertical circle the golden Mandala remains bodiless and two-dimensional, a mere abstraction. It is only the intervention of time and space here and now that makes reality. Wholeness is realized for a moment only. For what is heaven without Mother Earth? And how can man reach fulfillment if the Queen does not intercede for his black soul? She understands the darkness, for she has taken her throne, the earth itself, to heaven with her if only by the subtlest of suggestions. She adds the missing blue to the gold, red and green, and thus completes the harmonious whole...
Now it is, I can hardly refrain from remarking, a curious "sport of nature" that the chief chemical constituent of the physical organism is carbon, which is characterized by four valences; also it is well known that the diamond is a carbon crystal. Carbon is black, coal, graphite, but the diamond is "purest water".
C.G. Jung
"All our experiments indicate that quarks and gauge bosons interact as points with no spatial dimensions, and so are fundamental, like the leptons. If the fundamental particles really are dimensionless points with mass, flavor, color, charge and other quantum properties, yet occupying no volume, then the nature of matter appears quite bizarre. THE FOUR INTERACTIONS GIVE MATTER SHAPE, MATTER ITSELF IS EMPTY! If all four interactions really are unified, and the particles themselves are just points of interaction for the force, then the phrase from George Lucas's STAR WARS movies "May the Force be with you," might really be appropriate." ~ From Quarks To The Cosmos by Lederman & Schramm
The influence of the senses have in men overpowered their thought to the degree that the walls of time and space have come to look solid, real and insurmountable... Yet time and space are but inverse measures of the power of the mind. Man is capable of abolishing them both. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~
